MUSTS Colloquium ‘New Funding Horizons’ + CAST students present their internships

Speakers: Merle Achten, Karin Bijsterveld, Anique Hommels, 2nd year CAST students
When: Wednesday 20 January, 15.30 – 17.00
Where: online via Zoom link: https://maastrichtuniversity.zoom.us/j/94662599197

Abstract
Our funding landscape is not only shifting because the new EU programme Horizon Europe will start soon. NWO, KNAW and the universities are also considering new ways of organising grants and assessing research, which will likely have an impact on the ways in which we acquire grants and assess acquiring grants. Merle Achten will therefore speak about Horizon Europe calls that might be relevant to MUSTS members. Karin Bijsterveld will introduce you to national plans for a rolling grant system for all researchers beyond their PhD. Finally, Anique Hommels will open up a discussion about what the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) means or might mean for acquiring grants and for how we assess acquiring grants in research. This will be followed by the annual CAST poster session, but now online. CAST students will present one slide on their research internships, pitch it in two minutes, and get one question of us to answer.
