The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (NIAS) is calling for proposals for the NIAS-Lorentz Theme Group (NLTG) and the Research Theme Group (RTG). NLTG focuses on interdisciplinary research between social sciences and humanities, and natural sciences and technologies. RTG gathers up to six scholars, half from the Netherlands and half from other countries. The application deadline is 1 April for NLTG, and 15 April for RTG.

The NIAS-Lorentz Theme Group (NLTG) gives special attention to topics of societal importance that require extensive collaboration across traditional scientific boundaries in order to progress.
For RTG researchers work both individually and as a team on a clearly defined research topic with the aim of producing a concrete result such as a book, scientific paper or conference.
Both NLTG as well as RTG will have to take place at NIAS in Wassenaar.
