NovUM has been a Student Representation Party at UM since 2003. Progressive, inNOVative, international, our community strives to enhance student welfare.
To do so, we represent students in UM’s councils to fight for what matters to them, we collaborate with actors within and outside UM, and we provide a dynamic and diverse community. We are also proud to be the only party representing students in every single council. Excited? Keep reading!
Originally founded to provide a political platform for international students, it has since grown to become a progressive, inNOVative, and diverse student community striving for change and enhancement of student welfare.
We work to accomplish this goal every day through:
- representation in the university and faculty councils to fight for the causes that are important to students;
- collaborations with actors both within and outside UM;
- providing you with the opportunity to become as active as you would like in a dynamic and diverse student community.
We fight for causes such as ensuring free period products in every faculty building, improving the healthcare and administrative support to international students, making the university and municipality provide more affordable and accessible housing, and implementing a sustainability minor in each faculty. This broad array of causes consolidates our four pillars: Housing, Education, Sustainability and Internationalism.
