The National Fellowship Programme (NFP) gives future PhD students from non-EU countries the possibility to study in the Netherlands or to carry out a part of their PhD research in the Netherlands. Students can apply for a fellowship for a ‘sandwich’ or ‘picnic’ model PhD. This means that at least a quarter of the PhD research will take place in the candidate’s home country. The internal deadline is Friday 9 October 2015.
The maximum duration of a PhD fellowship is four years.
