OMT meeting update

We had our monthly OMT (Education Management Team) meeting on Thursday 29 October. It was the first gathering of the academic year, so we had quite a lot on the agenda.

Read on for the points we discussed.

Should the coursebook be uploaded on Canvas? We all agreed that because of quality controls and to make it easier for students to find information, the syllabus should be uploaded on Canvas. Moreover, its design should be coherent with the other courses of the programme. Some changes regarding the uniformisation of coursebooks will be considered for the next period.

We talked about possible teaching scenarios in case of a lockdown and brainstormed on how to regulate better online exams in order to avoid fraud.

Finally, Pia Harbers, one of the Students Advisers presented the “Annual Report Student Advisers”. Although the results are very similar to last year, the number of contact hours increased slightly, probably because of the COVID-19 situation.
