Open call for member EPC BA Digital Society

Please consider the vacancy for General Member of the Educational Programme Committee BA Digital Society.

This is a position for a period of three years. The remuneration is 40 Solver hours per year.

To apply, please send a CV and a short motivation letter to r.dirix@maastrichtuniversity.nl by 9 September.

Direct involvement in the BA Digital Society is an advantage, but not a strict requirement. D4 teachers are also encouraged to apply.

The main task of an Educational Programme Committee (EPC) is to monitor and evaluate the quality of the programme(s) it is linked to. Every EPC consists of a Chair, academic staff members and student members, and has an equal representation of staff and students. The BA EPCs at FASoS meet seven to ten times per year. For more information on the activities of an EPC, please consult the EPC manual on the intranet: see FASoS Staff > Education A-Z > Educational Programme Committees.

General Members take part in all EPC meetings. They will prepare opinion statements according to the agenda and underlying documentation of every meeting, present reasoned arguments and views during the discussions, advise on the advantages and disadvantages of certain courses of action, and provide input for the EPC advice and reports.

The staff members who are currently on the EPC and the Faculty Council will review the applications. The FB will appoint the new member on 19 October, with a retroactive start date of 1 September 2022. The new member can probably only join the committee from its second meeting onwards. Please note that the Solver hours involved with the appointment will also need to be registered retroactively.

For more information on this EPC, you can contact the departing or upcoming Chair of the committee, Dr. Hommels and Dr. Ward respectively, at: a.hommels@maastrichtuniversity.nl or j.ward@maastrichtuniversity.nl
