Thomas Huddleston will defend his PhD dissertation ‘Naturalisation in Action; How nationality laws work in practice across Europe’ in the Aula, Minderbroedersberg 4-6, on Wednesday 18 September at 16.00. His supervisors are Prof. Maarten Vink and Prof. Gerard-René de Groot.

Thomas is the third PhD candidate of FASoS to graduate as a fellow of the Part-time PhD programme in European Studies for Professionals. He is the Research Director of the Migration Policy Group at Brussels. He coordinates MPG’s comparative research, including the Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX), the Refugee Integration Evaluation Mechanism (NIEM) and the European Website on Integration (EWSI). He is a member of the consortium of GLOBALCIT (Global Citizenship Observatory), chair of the SIRIUS network (European policy network on migrant education) and one of the co-chairs of the quarterly NGO Platform on EU Migration and Asylum.
