Pilot holiday registration cancelled

After evaluation, our experimental policy on holiday registration for scientific staff has been cancelled. As of Thursday 1 January 2015 the existing regulations for holidays and leave will apply again for all FASoS employees.

We have evaluated our experimental policy on holiday registration for scientific staff, which made it possible to wave your obligation to register holidays (“opt out”). 85 people responded to the survey, 50% of the respondents were satisfied with the option they had chosen, 20% of the respondents thought the pilot should stop. The results were discussed with the labor unions and the faculty board, and the decision was made to stop with the pilot. Therefore as 1 January 2015 the existing regulation for holidays and leave applies again for all employees of FASoS. Please note that for the administration of holidays and leave you need to use the system Imar.

People who participated in the pilot will start in Imar with the amount of vacation days they are entitled to in 2015 plus the surplus they would have had on the first of January 2013, had they not participated in the pilot. We will set up Imar for you, you do not need to take any further action.

For those who participated in the pilot it is also possible to retrospectively register holidays and leave for 2014. In that case please inform the secretary of your department.

André would like to thank all the people who participated in the pilot and in the survey. If you have any further questions, please ask the secretary of your department or put your questions on the agenda of your departmental meeting. If necessary André will attend to answer any remaining questions.
