Realities Revised brings together four young artists: Emily Huurdeman, Kiki Goossen, Miriam Sentler and Sara Bachour in an exhibition curated by FASoS graduate Alicja Melzacka. It highlights different stances visual art can take in relation to the discourse of reality. Since, broadly defined, postmodernism, art has dispersed in many directions and created micro enclaves, which make it hard to generalise – at least for us, who are in the middle of this ongoing development, unable to fully distance ourselves from it. The selection of artists for this exhibition reflects this diversity and provides a ground for an interesting discussion. All of them are reworking elements from what is generally considered to be reality, taking different starting points and using various media.
Join us for the opening on Thursday 26 January at 19.00 in the new B32 Art Space in Caberg (address: Mathias-Soironstraat 2) and for the guided tour on Saturday 28 January at 13.00.
