Wanted: Head of Management Board and Project Coordinator at RPM

Refugee Project Maastricht (RPM) is looking for a new Head of Management Board and Project Coordinator. RPM is a young, dynamic student organisation that believes in the importance of intercultural exchange between students and refugees in Maastricht. In 2015 around 600 refugees came to Maastricht and RPM came into existence to serve as a platform between the vibrant international student community and the diverse group of Syrians, Afghans, Iranians, Iraqis and Eritreans.

RPM works in six teams to provide language support in Dutch and English, Sport activities, Social events, Music, Buddy matching and Communication team in order to create friendships and facilitate new opportunities for both groups. RPM cooperates closely with Maastricht University, the municipality and the refugee camp AZC/ COA in order to achieve the goal that the Maastricht community has in common.

  • developing and implementing ideas + action plans about RPM
  • managing overall operations and resources
  • steer and guide the team: act as main point of communication between the Board, teams, refugee
    community and volunteers
    (Language coaching: English/Dutch; Music, Sports, Social events, Connect Buddy Matching,
    Communication)
  • Formal representation at meetings and events
  • Networking and External relations: Maintain cooperations with local stakeholders such as municipality, university, NGOs
