Based on student feedback, we have made some changes to the IWIO course evaluation process for this academic year.
Firstly, you indicated that filling out two questionnaires is not efficient and too much of a burden. Because of that, we merged the IWIO course evaluation and the IWIO exam evaluation questionnaires into one IWIO course evaluation questionnaire.
Secondly, you told us that filling out the IWIO during the preparation week for your exam is too stressful. For this reason, we have reconsidered the timing of putting out the IWIO questionnaire. From now on, you can evaluate your course (including exam) in week 1 of the following period. You will still receive an email containing the link to fill out the questionnaire when IWIO opens.
Finally, we heard your request for informing you about what happens with the evaluation outcomes. The Educational Programme Committee of your programme (advisory body on education) periodically discusses the IWIO evaluation outcomes. Based on the advice from the Educational Programme Committee and meetings with staff, the programme director and course coordinators annually determine what changes will have to be made to a course. These changes are, subsequently, integrated into the syllabus of the course for the next academic year.
As you can read, working with the IWIO evaluation outcomes is an annual process. Therefore, it is not always possible to inform you on changes based on the evaluations directly after the evaluations have been executed. If we can inform you sooner, we will of course do so.
Students from the bachelor Global Studies will receive a first evaluation call in January after their first semester.
