Say goodbye to your own waste bin

The familiar old waste bins at the workplace will become a thing of the past. UM will soon be sorting waste in all its buildings. Paper, plastic and general waste will be collected centrally in separate bins. The separate bins will be placed in all FASoS buildings on 28 and 29 March. The ‘old’ waste bins will be removed one day after placement of the new recycling stations.

For you as an employee this will mean, among other things, that you will no longer be able to put plastic and general waste in the waste bin in your room, but now have to walk a little further to throw it away. The receptacle for waste paper will remain in your workplace, but you will now need to empty it yourself.

Our goal is to shrink general waste flows to the bare minimum, and our motto is: Use less. Recycle the rest. Want to learn more about UM’s new approach to waste separation? Watch the video here!
