“Screentime knitting” event by the MUSTS Knitting Hub, on 29 June

The MUSTS Knitting Hub invites you to a crafty afternoon outside Bandito on 29 June at 16.00.

During this informal event, the group will finish their Covid-19 related project “screentime knitting”, in which each knitter has created a piece that reflects their screentime use during the pandemic.

If you are curious, please join!

There will be crafting kits for those who want to “get their hands dirty”, as well as cookies.

In the last two years, and amidst a global pandemic, many of us have developed or refined our creative and crafty talents. These might include writing poetry and prose, baking, woodworking, drawing, painting, making music, programming, pottery, photography, and maybe many other things as well.

In this period, the MUSTS Knitting Hub emerged, a small group of avid knitters at FASoS interested in the role that knitting plays in doing research. They have engaged in a special project called ‘screentime knitting’, in which every person has knit up a piece that reflects their screentime use during the pandemic.

During this event, the knitting hub will join their separate screentime pieces into one overarching work (a big “Zoom screen”).
