Staff mobility within Erasmus+

Maastricht University participates in the Erasmus+ programme, which provides subsidies to promote European-level cooperation, exchange, follow-up training and traineeships. As part of the programme, lecturers can teach at a partner university (teaching assignments) and staff can complete training courses or participate in job-shadowing (staff training) in one of the programme countries. The application deadline for  the academic year 2015-2016 is Thursday 19 February 2015.

Maastricht University staff can obtain more information about Staff Mobility from the Scholarship Office at the Student Services Centre. The deadline to apply for a place in the Erasmus + Application Staff Mobility for academic year 2015-2016 will be on 19 February 2015. The duration of the staff mobility must be between two days and two months (excluding the travel days).

Staff mobility is an option to encourage the exchange of lecturers and support staff between institutions which have concluded a bilateral agreement for these types of mobility.

If you consider to go abroad within Europe in the academic year 2015-2016, to one of our partner universities, perhaps Erasmus+ subsidy is an option for you. This subsidy does not cover all costs, but only a part. Please inform Scholarship Office before 19 February 2015 about your plans, so they can include your trip in the Erasmus+ application.
The exact amount depends on the duration of the staff mobility and the country of destination. It is a daily-based amount that varies by country. Until the 14th day of the activity one gets 100% of the daily amount, between the 15th and the 60th day one gets 70% of this amount.
Example Calculation: excluding travel days (based on the amount of 2014/2015): Start date 12 January 2015 – end date 30 January 2015 – destination Spain. The allowance will be (14 x 60 = 840 + 5 x 42 (70% of 60) = 210) € 1,050

Please send a brief description of your plans to Kirsten Reijnders ( kirsten.reijnders@maastrichtuniversity.nl) At least she needs the total number of days of your staff / teaching mobility, including the travel days. Further details about when and where can be given later.

If you really go abroad with Erasmus+, you need to fill out and sign several forms. At this moment, the forms for 2015-2016 are not available yet. As soon as Scholarship Office has received the forms from Nuffic, we will send them to colleagues who are interested in joining Erasmus+.
