On 2 June, a group of around 40 FASoS colleagues started as early adopters/first users of the new phone system at UM: Microsoft Teams (MS Teams).
The current telephone system on our desks (Mitel) is outdated and will be replaced in the coming months. Given the large usage of Microsoft Teams across the university and hybrid working, Maastricht University has adopted MS Teams as the new phone system.
The first users at FASoS are satisfied with the change. They find it easy that they can download the MS Teams application on their phone or tablet and can pick up their phone from there. Besides that, the system works intuitively and is easy to grasp.
In a couple of months’ time, everyone at FASoS will say goodbye to their Mitel phone on their desks and will need to make the switch to calling via MS Teams. Are you already excited to make the switch now? Then reach out to ict-fasos@maastrichtuniversity.nl.
