Contribute your ideas to policy proposals for the European Commission!

Student Forum Maastricht will hold its 2014 edition in Brussels on 9 – 13 April. SFM is an annual student conference dealing with current EU topics. Applications are open until the end of February to enthusiastic and open-minded students who would like to share their ideas on issues such as Migration, Youth Unemployment, Sustainable Development and more.

SFM 2014 offers five different working groups in total dealing with the following issues: Migration, Youth Unemployment, European Neighbourhood Policy, Sustainable Development and Free Trade Agreements. You work closely together with experts from academia, the EU institutions and the private sector. The aim of your work is to draft a policy proposal for the European Commission.

In the end of the conference, your proposals are broadcast on Debating Europe. In this way, your ideas will have an impact on the public debate in the EU!

On top of that, prominent speakers will introduce you to their work and their perspectives for the future of Europe. On our agenda are Hannes Swoboda (President S&D, European Parliament), David Earnshaw (CEO Burson-Marsteller Brussels), Johannes Laitenberger (Chef du Cabinet President Barroso) and Lutz Ribbe (President Sustainable Development, European Economic and Social Committee) .
