Successful FASoS research event

On Thursday 9 December, the FASoS research event was held, both live and online. Live participants were welcomed in the Turnzaal after getting a coffee and a cookie at Bandito, while online attendees participated from the comfort of their own homes.

During the research event, we got to know more about the six research centres at FASoS: CERiM, CGD, MACCH, MACIMIDE, MCICM and SHCL. These involve researchers from the four resesarch programmes, other faculties, and also from further afield. It was interesting to learn not only about their work but also to consider points of connection between them.

At the end of the event, Sally Wyatt announced the winner of the knitted web of science competition. She revealed that the scarf she knitted represents the proportions of single, co- and multi-authored publications within each research programme. AMC has the highest proportion of single-authored publications; GTD has equal proportions of single and two. PCE and MUSTS have equal proportions of single-authored, but MUSTS goes in for more writing in groups of three or more.
