The first FASoS CPD activity took place on Wednesday 23 October: the faculty’s annual PBL Movie Night.
Colleagues discussed group dynamics and tutoring in PBL, using the university’s overview of challenging situations in PBL. We particularly discussed how to deal with groups that do not come prepared, groups that consider the pre-discussion a waste of time, and groups in which students report knowledge, but do not interact.
Participants were first asked to reflect upon the four PBL principles.
We discussed group dynamics while enjoying home-made food and drinks – and, it was a movie night after all, popcorn!
