The New York Review of Books
With a worldwide circulation of over 145,000, The New York Review of Books has established itself, in Esquire’s words, as “the premier literary-intellectual magazine in the English language.” The New York Review began during the New York publishing strike of 1963, when its founding editors, Robert Silvers and Barbara Epstein, and their friends, decided to create a new kind of magazine—one in which the most interesting and qualified minds of our time would discuss current books and issues in depth. Just as importantly, it was determined that the Review should be an independent publication; it began life as an independent editorial voice and it remains independent today.
European Council Studies
This journal covers both the Pre-Summit Briefings and the European Council Notes two to four months after each EU Council Meeting. It follows the meeting pace of the EU Council, resulting in a minimum of 4 issues and a maximum of 10 issues annually. This new series by Leuven University Press should be of interest to everybody inside or outside government who is involved in or with the European Union.
The Pre-Summit Briefings and European Council Notes are uniquely valuable. Launched twenty years ago and based on a wide range of published and unpublished sources, including interviews with key players, they provide a continuous, highly readable and independent narrative of the politics and policies of the European Council, the EU’s principal decision-making institution.
Additionally in the subscription is an earlier access to the Pre-Summit Briefings and the European Council Notes.
