On Wednesday 14 April after 18.00, it is temporarily not possible to pay with your UMcard. The system will be offline for a maximum of 4 hours due to maintenance.
During this time period, you can still use your UMcard to gain access to buildings and the library.
During the maintenance, you can’t use your UMcard balance for the following elements:
- Printing (students): since the copiers can’t connect to your UMcard balance, it will not be possible to use these copiers. So if you’re in need of printing or copying make sure to do this before 6:00 PM. Employees won’t have any problems with this, printing for them is free and therefore there’s no need to check the UMcard balance.
- Hot Drinks Machines: the new coffee machines will be adjusted to overrule the UMcard payment system. This way employees and students can still enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.
- Remaining payments: all remaining machines that use the UMcard balance (e.g. vending machines for soda or candy, and top up machines) will be down as well during the maintenance. However you can still use your bank card to pay at the majority of the vending machines.
