The Assessment Support Team is looking for an extraordinary member.
The AST provides advice to FASoS staff regarding exam formats and exam content (before an exam is administered). It is also responsible for the faculty’s assessment policy, and for FASoS’s implementation of the new UM vision on assessment.
Its current members are Josje Weusten, John Harbord and Jacob Ward. The team reports to the Faculty Board and is coordinated by Robin Dirix.
We are looking for a new, ‘extraordinary’ AST member, who will be charged specifically with questions and tasks on assessment related to technology-enhanced learning. The extraordinary member will therefore be requested to liaise with the FASoS Taskforce on technology-enhanced learning led by Patrick Bijsmans. The extraordinary member will not have to participate in all regular AST meetings and activities, but can be consulted on request. This position will be rewarded with 40 Solver hours per year, and the selected candidate will be appointed for two years.
Candidates should have good knowledge of and a keen interest in assessment practices and policies, in particular online/digital assessment. Experience as a responsible examiner of a FASoS course is a must. Having served previously on a Board of Examiners or Assessment Committee is considered an asset, as is the completion of courses/trainings in educational science or course/assessment design. In addition, involvement in any ES programme or course will serve as a plus.
