Vacancy: FASoS Open Science ambassador

Are you interested in Open Science and FAIR? Is it part of your work already or do you have any previous experience in Open Science or FAIR?

The Open Science Community Maastricht (OSCM) is still looking for an Open Science ambassador from FASoS. Our ambassadors:

  • Create awareness about Open Science;
  • Share and multiply information about Open Science;
  • Take the initiative to organise symposia or other events around Open Science (in collaboration with the rest of the OSCM);
  • Represent the Open Science Community Maastricht.

The OSCM is an inter-faculty group that promotes Open Science all throughout Maastricht University. Together with our partner communities across the Netherlands, we aim to make research open and FAIR for everyone. We do this by organising lectures and workshops and answering any questions that UM employees have about Open Science.

What do you get in return for taking up the role of Open Science ambassador?

  • Training on Open Science topics (e.g. Open Access publishing, FAIR data).
  • €3000 funding for participating in Open Science activities such as conferences or workshops.
  • Working together with a great team!

If you are interested in joining us as the Open Science ambassador for FASoS, you can contact Dennie Hebels (FHML ambassador, d.hebels@maastrichtuniversity.nl) and send in a short description of your background and your experience with Open Science/FAIR. Preferably, we’re looking for ambassadors that have a minimum of 1 year of contract left and that can spend on average 1 hour/week on OSCM activities. Early-career as well as more senior researchers can apply for the ambassador role. If you have any questions, of course you can also contact us.
