Vacancy: member of the Assessment Support Team

The Assessment Support Team (AST) is looking for a new member to start on 1 September 2022.

The new member will be expected to participate in all regular AST activities and meetings. The position will be rewarded with 80 Solver hours per year, and the selected candidate will be appointed for three years.

Interested? Submit your CV and a short motivation to r.dirix@maastrichtuniversity.nl before 26 May. The current AST members and the Faculty Board will evaluate the applications.

The AST provides advice to FASoS staff regarding exam formats and exam content (before an exam is administered). The AST members are also responsible for the faculty’s assessment policy and implementation of the new UM vision on assessment. The AST has monthly meetings and organises individual consultations with FASoS examiners. Its current members are Josje Weusten, John Harbord and Jacob Ward. The AST reports to the Faculty Board and is coordinated by Robin Dirix, EDaP. Due to the termination of Jacob’s appointment from September 2022, the committee is looking for a new member.

Candidates should have good knowledge of and a keen interest in assessment practices and policies. Experience as a responsible examiner of a FASoS course is a must. Knowledge about digital or technically-enhanced assessment is an asset, as is the completion of courses/training in educational science or course/assessment design. In addition, involvement in the DS, GS or any ES programme will serve as a plus.

More information about the AST’s activities can be found in its annual report, published on the FASoS Staff Intranet: A – Z Education > Assessment Support Team.
