The Faculty Board aims to have one programme director for both the MA ES and the MA EPA as of September 2021. For this reason we are looking for a highly motivated staff member who would like to act as programme director of the MA EPA/ES as of September 2021, and as a start already takes care of the MA ES programme next year (2020-21).

The director will receive the support of a newly appointed educational coordinator.

The Faculty Board aims to have one programme director for both the MA ES and the MA EPA as of September 2021. In order to make this feasible, the next academic year (2020-21) will be used to explore synergies between both programmes in terms of content as well as organisation. In the light of that, a revision group will be established co-chaired by the programme directors of ES and EPA.

For the day-to-day administrative management of the programme, the director will receive the support of a newly appointed educational coordinator who will also assist other MA programmes. This will lead to a substantial reduction of administrative workload, while the content-related aspects of the management stay in the hands of the programme director.

Important to note: both EPA and ES will continue as separate MA programmes.

For this reason, we are looking for a highly motivated staff member who would like to act as programme director of the MA EPA/ES as of September 2021, and as a start already takes care of the MA ES program next year (2020-21).

Are you able to provide academic leadership to a group of highly-motivated teaching staff and give further shape to the content and re-organisation of the programme MA ES and closer interaction with the MA EPA in the nearby future? Do you have a vision on how these two programmes can effectively collaborate without losing their genuine character? If so, consider applying for the following vacancy: programme director of the MA European Studies.

  • Quality Assurance (e.g. through monitoring the evaluation and updating of courses; managing of re-accreditation processes; alignment of content and assessment);
  • Finance (management of budget);
  • Admission of new students to the programme on a yearly basis in cooperation with the Master Admissions Office;
  • External representation (e.g. alumni);
  • Communication with students.

We are looking for an academic staff member who:

  • Is enthusiastic and has a vision about teaching and the organisation of educational and quality assurance practices in our Faculty;
