Valentina Mazzucato partner in WUN-funded project

The research project ‘Migration Policy, Welfare Boundary, Social Integration & Health-related Quality of Life of Children from Immigrant Families’, led by professor Qiaobing Wu of Hong Kong University, has recently received seed funding from the Research Development Fund of the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN). Professor Valentina Mazzucato – honorary professor at Hong Kong University – is a partner in the project.

The project consists of a cross-country comparison on how differences in migration policy and welfare entitlement lead to disparities in social integration and health outcomes of immigrant children. The research team consists of 11 researchers from nine universities, across eight countries. The grant is to be used for networking activities, allowing the research team to meet up, carry out the study at the initial stage, and discuss future directions.

The Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) is a leading global higher education and research network made up of 21 universities, spanning 11 countries on five continents. It aims to drive international research collaboration and address issues of global significance.
