The VW Foundation just opened a call for curiosity-driven projects on challenges for Europe. The Foundation wants to stimulate basic research on issues affecting Europe and the European Union, encourage comparative studies, and strengthen academic collaboration among European scholars.
Funding is for max. 5 PI’s, with the lead PI needing affiliation with a German research institution. Deadline for the 5-page pre-proposal is Tuesday 12 May.
