The Faculty Board is pleased to announce that since January 2016 Patrick Bijsmans has taken up the responsibility of BKO coordinator. BKO is a crucial device to reflect upon our teaching practices and to improve our teaching competences. We are convinced that BKO is in good hands with Patrick. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Anique Hommels for her excellent work over the last years.
Patrick is aware of the high standards that his predecessors have set, as he writes: “During my years as programme director of the BA ES I sat in on many final BKO meetings with my predecessors Jo Wachelder, Esther Versluis and Anique Hommels. It was great to see the enthusiasm with which colleagues discussed their teaching experience. I was always impressed by the interest shown by Anique, Esther and Jo, who always came meticulously prepared, sharing their thoughts and asking valuable questions. I hope to be able to build on their legacy and look forward to working with colleagues and the new faculty board to further improve our teaching and learning practice.”
